Title: Expression of interest in Multi day high country ride Post by: Willbar on June 12, 2011, 12,46:59 AM Not sure if this is a goer or not which is why I am inviting expression of interest.
This will not be a just turn up and ride, if you want to come then you will have to be pre paired to be part of the planning and organization of this ride. My idea would be similar to what people pay thousands of dollars to do, but we would do it at cost, so no one would be making anything out of it other than AMTRA if there was anything left over. The idea would be to have a 7 day holiday where we would ride to a different destination each day. Covering 120 to 200klm per day. Ideal for old farts or unfit guys like me. The 4th day would be a day of the bikes. We would need a 4wd and offroad trailer to follow us but to be fair a different driver everyday, so each of us taking turns in the 4wd. You would need to have a good reliable bike as most of us do. You would also need to be able to do maintenance on your bike or pay one of us to do it for you. October or November would be a good time for this sort of ride . Grumble bums need not express there interest, only looking for happy go lucky people with a sense of adventure who are happy to bring there sense of humor and smile along. It would be Rec Reg at your own risk cause motels or lodges would be the go and hot showers so we would need to ride into towns for this. We could trailer a few bikes into town but only 2 or 3, but as I said get on the organization team and you can be part of the decision making. I would hope for around 10 to 15 riders, we could do more but we would need more back up. Anyway let me know here if you are keen. Level 2 plus to Clubman. Will 1. Will Munro 2. Bill Toan 3. Frankie Reefman 4. Justin 3 days 5. Steve Morrison 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. I am interested to help out for 2 or maybe 3 of the days, can't do 7 at that time of year in my line of work though. Can get you from Beechworth/Yackandandah to Myrtleford to Bright and onto Harietville in 2 good solid days of riding with very little tarmac. Cheers Justin Title: Re: Expression of interest in Multi day high country ride Post by: Grandpa on June 26, 2011, 10,58:10 PM I say Wilbur..........

There is a little bit of interest in this event, is there anyone else cause if we can get the numbers then we can start on the planning, so if you are interested then get your name on the list.
