This Advice message is being issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Enochs Point, Kevington, Knockwood, Matlock, St Clair, The Oaks, The Triangle, A1 Mine Settlement, Gaffneys Creek, Woods Point, The Springs.
Firefighters are working in steep country on the bushfire 15 KM WNW MATLOCK .
The fire has burnt 500 hectares and is under control. The fire is still burning within containment lines some smoke may be visible to surrounding communities. Residents may also smell smoke.
There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions.
Motorists traveling in the area are urged to take additional care due to the presence of emergency vehicles, machinery and smoke.
The Big River Road is closed to all traffic except emergency vehicles from Warburton-Woods Point Road in the South to Matlock Track at Enoch's Point in the North.
A number of forest tracks are also closed in the vicinity of the fire.
