A bloke on the recent black range ride was wearing them and he loves the footage they produce. I cant think of his name but he was on a husky 250

I get a bit tired of the POV wide angle all the time, would be good to be able to change the lens angle on a camera.
The footage shown points down the ground a bit, maybe because you put your head down but your eyes up when riding. If you can't adjust camera angle then you may be stuck with that.
Also, I tend to go through goggles about once a year, usually deteriorating foam around the edge. I would want to check the longevity of the goggles and replacability of them without having to throw the camera out.
On the plus side, super easy to set up and use. No camera sticking out of the helmet to get whacked on the trail and image quality equal to the Hero or other common cameras.

Yeah I tend to agree with Mat, It seems like a lot of cash to fork out for something that doesn't seem that flexible in terms of use.
I have a GoPro - which apart from being a little bulky, can be used upside down, on the side of your helmet, facing backwards, on the bars ect. I recently took it along when my dad went rally driving and was able to mount it on the dash with some excellent results. It comes with a dust proof/waterproof casing which comes in very handy at times.
I would have concerns regarding dust and water, and cleaning of the camera - My goggles get pretty dirty.
Anyway mate, just my thoughts!

I agree with Mat and Nic as well, I recently bought a Contour HD which mounts on the side of my helmet.
The negatives of something like that are them being whacked off and damaged by a tree or a crash which is where the Goggle cameras would survive. The external cameras like the Contour HD and Go Pro can be mounted on almost anything as well. I also like the different angles and mounting positions of the Go Pro and Contour HD, I have mine showing a little bit of my helmet and the horizon in the center and the position is great. Seeing just a bit of your helmet as a constant stationary element of the shot helps take your mind off the constant moving around of what you're looking at.
I would be concerned the goggles would wear out, you would need to be able to purchase new lenses and foams. I bet this is something they've thought about though. All up, a camera is better than no camera, I've enjoyed the footage I've been getting and helps better explain to the family how fun riding is. Good luck.

i have a pair of lic goggles absolutely brilliant great quality 12 hr battery life all interchangeable parts foam and lens and shower proof not fully water proof ie dont put them fully under water, it does fish eye a bit on close up still shots but cant notice on video . you can get some great shots of clouds when having a mid track rest as well !!

Marc. In all honesty i think if you get one, all the shots will be looking up?
I looked into them at Bikemart, but didnt fit with my current helmet. The footage from Nath's GoPro is unbeliveable, even at worp speed?
