Hi all,

I've just installed a subframe tanks and a couple of other bits and pieces to my bike. I'd like to go for a quick ride  Wednesday or Thursday and give everything a test to make sure it's all running smooth.

What's the nearest place to the Melb SE suburbs that may be appropriate? Looking at Google maps and the DSE website Gembrook looks to be closest but I've never been there. Anyone with local knowledge suggest a few tracks I could use? Nothing too hairy, I'm taking my lovely wife along for  backup, she's happy to read in the nice warm Outback while I do a few laps so the area needs to be reasonably accessible in case I need to call the pit crew in for assistance.

Thanks.

A map and a gps is a good start.  However if you intend to ride alone you probably wont get a lot of encouragement from
club members.
You are welcome on my Marysville ride on Sunday 14th Grin Grin

Thanks Phil.

I've got both a map and a gps, just not sure on the best area around Gembrook. I'm looking to stay within sight of our car, not go crazy running through the bush Smiley

Love to do the Marysville ride again but will be on the Mullungding/Woodside the day before. Heading out again on Sunday may well lead to divorce Smiley

Unfortunately the few decent tracks in Bunyip Forest (Gembrook) are closed now for winter. See map link below. It's normally ideal for a close to home test track. Greg.

Thanks Greg, that's exactly why I was after some local knowledge. That's a great map, there are so many resources out there like that, wish there was a map directory somewhere Smiley

Closed until October, bummer.
