It is not I in 1,000,000 when I broke my femur at Eildon as I was about to be winched into the chopper the paramedic realised I was in the stretcher the wrong way.
If I had have been lifted I would have fallen out, so I was taken out and put in the right way.
The older stretchers had head and feet diagrams marked in them so the paramedics couldn't get it wrong, the newer ones do not.
I was in one of the newer stretchers and luckily for me, and unluckily for the rest of you the paramedic realised the mistake and I am still above ground and breathing.
Absolutely tragic accident, thoughst are with the Ambos, families and everyone affected buy this horrible accident
