Gidday to everyone, I'm a new girl rider to the forum, have been riding about one & a half years, wife of XDIRTX who is already a member and have already been on one Cobaw Level 1 ride with your group in Feb..(that took me to the next level, I give you the whisper!). I met some AMTRA riders at Neerim on Sunday and I have decided to join, as they told me there are more girl riders on your group rides these days, especially one I have been told about named Serge or Sergie (something like that), who I am dying to meet who is probably equal to my level of riding so I have heard...ie I only like to ride 1/2 days on Sundays, nice easy, back of the pack riding and nothing too extreme, with no carnage, but maybe the occasional off.. I look forward to meeting you soon Sergie, for some girl company soon, as riding with only guys is not always fun and we can always head back early to the cars together if the ride gets to hard & I'll provide the cups of tea. Ah well, will still ride with you anyway and I'll bring the bottle of chardy..stuff the tea All good... Yeh, true, am looking for a new, lighter bike as everyone's told me the DRZ400 I have is a bit too heavy for me and the gassa my hubby stole off me and won't give it back. The boys said you have the type of bike that might suit me. What type is it? What are your thoughts? Cheers, Marls |

Apology accepted. Now, down to business. What my 'mate' Brad-er-lee explained to me was that you were looking at up-dating the DRZ to something a little lighter and more nimble. I would recomend a WRF 250 (as Brad would). He also mentioned that you were concerned about it's seat height. Well don't! I had it professionally lowered (by Krooz Tune), and it now feels and handles like a treat. And best of all, I can touch the ground! You're welcome to give it a whirl if we happen to be riding together. As for being a girl, I'll leave that up to others to determine. But I will say that half of the people I like are girls! Thanks Serge, will have to take up your offer and I promise not to stack it? Mat R might differ in opinion though..(I won't ride it at Cobaw...) You will have to let me know, when you are all going on a cruisy ride and XDIRTX & I will tag along. We're thinking of signing up for Pete's ride I think in early December at Eildon if it goes ahead...would you be going to that one?
