Title: Product Review. Vector Speed, temp, hour set
Post by: Peter Monty on January 06, 2011, 02,14:26 AM
As I have the holiday time I thought I write a bit about a new item I have on the old bike.

My KLX has had the speedo etc removed in a past life as an enduro race bike. So I didnt have accurate milage, distance etc to work with on the bike.

I purchased a Vector speedo set up & it seems worth the price.  Time will tell if it keeps working! LOL

Simple to fit, although I had to make a custom mount due to other head set mods on my bike. It is very simple to set up.

Speed sensor supplied specific for the bike is excellent, instructions are clear simple & reliable.

Power pick up was a cinch, I know these also fit up easily on non-battery bikes (MX etc) without a problem.

Features are great, including ambient temp, motor temp ( using model specific kit supplied) Again simple to do.  LED temp warnings all with variable parameters.

Ride time, ride speed, average speed, totals etc all spot on.

Power management is excellent.

All round I rate this item as a good purchase for anyone wanting a speedo set up or a replacement for a standard unit that doesnt have enough features.

Bang for your buck you cant go wrong.

No I dont sell them, no it wasnt an advertising freeby. If it had been a piece of crap I would have said so! LOL

Check ebay under VECTOR for anyone of a million deals. Mine came cheap with discounted freight and delivered within 10 days via Australia Post.

Better get in early before Gerry Harvey introduces a 10% GST on it to save his failing franchise group!
