I've mentioned this to some members over the years and my family too.
When i'm done and dusted I want some of my dust scattered in the wind from Mount Terrible. I want to enjoy that view forever and I will know for sure that my riding mates will be over from time to time to say G'Day.
Anybody else got any lo-------ng term plans?

Chaynes bridge, deep creek 1, 2, 5, snotty climb sections so I can look on and laugh around Rawson, Abbeyard would be ok to maybe at camp creek crossing just 2 keep an eye on Zeb |

I have to quote my 2nd wife of 5 years, She passed away from cancer in 1993, it was very hard to talk to her about the funeral in her last few days,I had to ask her if she wanted to be buried or cremated, she said, I don't care what you do with my body, it's only something I use while I'm here.
I'll go along with her thinking, hopefully there's a better place after death.

Falling off doesn't hurt, it's the sudden stop that does the damage.

As I've said in my post, I don't really care what they do with my ashes, but if someone wants to throw my ashes on the track that leads to lake Tali Karng in the vic alps. The track I'm talking about is the one that follows the Wellington river, it's 15KM to get to the lake & it crosses the Wellington 16 times, it was here that I learnt to ride a dirt bike, We used to camp there every Christmas for many years. ps Yes I've drowned my bike there many times, those crossings were big with big rocks in em |

I remember that track well Frankie, I learned a lot on that one as well. I don't know if it is still open to bikes.
By the look of the lack of responses every body must have this sorted or they are going to live forever.
Somebody at the last meet said we were being a bit morbid, but moving on is going to happen, so why not organise something while you can and have a bit of fun with it.
And lets be honest - nobody has come back to say "there is no trail riding in the sky."

Walking track only ! I've heard something along the line of, that not many ppl walk that track anymore........Yeah ppl are getting soft nowadays. |

It would be great if that track was still open to the bikes, it would be awesome to ride that track again before we go Somebody at the last meet said we were being a bit morbid, but moving on is going to happen, Ken, the young'ens are were we were years ago, I can understand them saying that, I'm sure I speak for you as well.....When we were in our thirties dying never entered our minds, but now being in our sixties, you do look at the fact that most of ya life is behind ya, call that being morbid if ya like, I hope you all live long enough to fully understand what's it like to be our age I've had a good life so far & hope there's another thirty years left in me ...When the time comes I won't put up a fight, I reckon that's the way most old farts feel, some of them my not want to be open about it, but I don't care I'm happy to share how I see things now at the age of 65 |
