I think they're advertising Batfink!

If this thread is anything to go by there are several disillusioned souls about the place. Some to the point of insanity.

Ad's on the webpage Huh?

We used to have google ad's here but that stopped some time back. Not sure why - maybe the kick backs stopped coming through?

Paul,

Is this the best thing to concentrate your energies on?

We used to have 'Google' ads on the web-site, but for whatever reason, they have stopped.  I think it was in the change over from old site to new site, but I'm not sure.  I'm also, not committee, and I suspect that this is a committee topic for discussion.

Targeting 'bike specific' advertisers means that someone has to contact them, someone has to sell the merits of advertising on this web-site, someone has to administer the invoicing/payments, as well as coming up with a schedule of advertising fees.  Someone will probably have to come from an already overstretch committee.

It's fantastic to have the imput from members on new ideas etc, but generally speaking, these ideas can't be acted on, and committed to over the web-site.  Perhaps someone can raise it at a committee meeting?

John,

I think advertising is a great idea.  I have no idea how to set it up but nearly every other website does it so why not.
