Looking at the motor it doesn't look like it has head gasket, in fact it looks like the head and cylinder are one.
How would you adjust the valve clearance on that kind of setup? I'm only use to the Yamaha and thats quite different.

Looks like it should hold a fair bit of oil in that sump, I'd guess better than 2 litres.
I wonder if they will put a fair bit of oil in it.

No, there is a join for the head, you can see it in the water jacket around the cylinder.
Is the bottom pic the engine for a Berg 285?

OH YES - I LIKE THAT - HOPE THE SUPER COMES GOOD REAL SOON.
The head and cylinder look like one casting. 2 ltrs of oil would be good but my guess would be 1.2 to 1.5 ltrs. I read somewhere they are only making a 450 and 550. I hope they have maintained or improved on the last 550 engine - that engine is grouse. I hope they hav'nt made it top heavy with their push for 'mass centralisation' They are probably being pushed to reduce the wheelbase for a smaller frame which is cheaper. Hope it's still going to be stable on the bitumin. When are the getting here Paul?

Engines will be 450 and 570. Though these days numbers don't always relate to capacity.
Should be arriving Nov, but should be some here this month for press review and rides for those who have already ordered one.
