Ronnie James Dio passed away early Monday morning.

He sung with Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath and (his own band) Dio.

I saw him a perform year or so ago when Black Sabbath re-grouped as Heaven and Hell, and played songs from the time when Dio sung with Sabbath.  They were currently touring Europe, and had to cancel shows 'cos Ronnie wasn't feeling well.  He was suffering from stomache cancer.

It was a great gig.  He was a magical performer.  He will be missed.
