Smart Meters!!

Anyone else having trouble with their new smart meter.
We had one installed about 7 weeks ago. Our meter is not accessible unless we are home.so for the latest bill we got an estimate of $256 dollars for 7 weeks however we wanted to check the bill was correct so we read our meter. The estimate was 840Kw, the meter reads 10 440 Kw. That means we should have got a bill for around $2000 for seven weeks!! What the hell, we do not have a house full of grass we are growing. Thats around $300 a week for power. Looks like we are in for a fight with the power company.

Come on Ian, for that sort of money you must be growing grass, flowers and vegies.

Our smart went in 12 months ago and so far so good.

I think we've got one, but no problems as far as I know.

We certainly had issues at my factory (with estimated bills) but that was because the meter readers were too lazy to walk down the driveway.

Then my missus contacted the ombudsman.......now they walk down the drive,

Our power bill went down when ours was installed. Grin
