You will need to be a member and to maintain the permit you need to maintain membership. If membership lapses the club has to report it and the permit will be cancelled. It is a permit scheme, not full on rego.
The cars thing may be difficult to get as we are a bike club. As far as RWC i am sure its up to the clubs themselves if they require them.

Thought I covered that in the last post nathanstott, I am interested in this process at AMTRA, if it works out well for what I like doing then I would become a member If welcomed that is Cheers Mick. Most clubs running the club reg scheme ask for a current RWC because, [1] It shows that the vechical is in a rwc state when the permit was issued. [2] The person issueing the permit probly only has do it yourself mechanical skills and no actual qualification in the trade. [3] If the poo hits the fan because someones old peice of poo (sorry, loverly restored vechical ) kills someone, at least you can stand up in court and show a copy of the rwc and photos of the vechical when you gave it the reg permit thingy.. Who becomes responsable for the plate ect? is it the person issueing it or dose it fall back on the club? If its back on the club do we need to check if our insurance covers this? Im not against it i just know people that abuse the use of club reg in their club.

No you need to be a member of a club and if that club does club rego then you do it all through the club it is the only way, I just know that Peter Drakeford is or was on the commity of the CSC club who happens to also work at MA and he was the one always doing the inspections for the CSC club.
I just thought it might help the guys at AMTRA that are running things to have a chat with Peter as he might be able to advice a bit.
