Title: Fitting Seat Covers.... Post by: 94rmx250 on October 29, 2009, 04,28:28 AM This is probably a stupid question - but hey, i keep pouring money into a 15 year old bike so i'm obviously not that bright anyway!!!
Is fitting a seat cover something that one would attempt themselves?? If not - where would anyone recommend (i'm in nunawading) and roughly what would it cost?? Thanks Title: Re: Fitting Seat Covers.... Post by: Mat R on October 29, 2009, 04,34:21 AM If you have a staple gun and blow dryer handy - yes. I can dig out a guide from AMCN or SDB from a while ago that has tips.
From memory - front first, then the back, then along each side. There is a motor trimmer in Ringwood that does bike seats, or at least used to but can't remember name. Pays to take lots of photo's of old seat before taking old cover off. If you don't already have a cover - try Ballards for a complete seat, although RMX may be outside of what they stock. Complete covered seat is around $170. Seat cover around $80 to $95. Title: Re: Fitting Seat Covers.... Post by: 94rmx250 on October 29, 2009, 04,43:06 AM thanks Mat

Post by: Willbar on October 29, 2009, 08,05:05 AM Hey Dustin if you get stuck I can take it to my trimmer for you and he should be able to fit it for you for around $50 to $60 but I reckon if you are handy and follows Mats instructions you should be able to do it. If you buy a gripper cover from the states it should come with instructions or do what i did and buy a new seat for less than $200 aus landed. Regards from Will
