There have just been heaps of fires posted on cfa web site after we got a big thunder storm come thru
Alot of the normal tracks are burning as well as mt cobber.

Fires listed at BUCKLAND JUNCTION YARRABCK TRACK, CHESHUNT- PARADISE FALLS, BUCKLAND VALLEY - NELSON CK, MOUNT COBBLER, BENNIES LAKE COBBLER RD, CATHERINE STATION RAZOR TRACK, MT BUFFALO THE HILL OF ROCK, BUFFALO RIVER SANDY CREEK NORTH, YARRABULLA DOZER BROW N TRACK, YARRARABULA CREEK TRK, MT BUFFALO GOLDIES SPUR TRACK. Just to name a few.

It doesn’t look good at all, fires all around Shocked

The only thing I’m worried about is the skylights in the little shed; I never got around to putting that mesh over them.

But one positive, this time we're insured.

From what I can work out this is the closest fire to the property at about 12 km away.

5KM E BUCKLAND JUNCTION - BUCKLAND JUNCTION YARRABCK TRA

This is the fire I think will give us grief if it doesn’t get stopped. It's about 35 km away but Abbeyard is right in its path.

These fires have not started as close as the 06 fires did; the 06 fires stared in the hills immediately behind the property.

One was called the Brandy creek fire, Brandy creek is the creek that the hunters place is next to.
The other fire was called the Whiskey creek fire, that's the creek that runs through the property next to us.

The biggest problem will be if they shut all the tracks on us.

Hoping the rain this week will put them out but it's a long shot.

Bom forecasts some rain and cooler temps this week.

Let's hope the cfa and dse can get it under control.

looks like they are calling on a few strike groups to hit the area Grin

they arnt big ATM so hopefully that controls the lines
its down hill to the shed so it give us alot more time

The fire closest to the property is now contained as of 3am this morning and it looks like they are on to a few of the fires in the area.
The one Bennies is still listed as going but has one resourse there.
No change to the fire at CHESHUNT- PARADISE FALLS, that's the fire to the North East of us.

And after Tim's report last week, there was us people, thinking we had nothing to be concerned about. They have 6 units there now so here's hoping they have it under control, but I guess we are in the hands of fate.

its looking better now the weather has been stable and they are getting alot of the smaller fires under control so if this keeps up we should be ok
If i can i will go have a look in the next few days or weeks
