Title: Night Ride & Mt Dissa
Post by: Peter r on March 15, 2009, 10,14:30 AM
Thinking of doing a night ride up at Mt Dissa soon as the wildlife has all but gone.
Need some input to see how many would have the B%&&'s  to do it!!

I still haven't forgotten about this Ride, BUT after riding in the dark at the 2010 HCR, i think a proper headlight would be a good idea. I think this should be a summer ride, so  tune in around Christmas.
PS: A couple of Led Lenser P7's Gaffered to your helmet would do the trick.

We have a night ride over here for you Peter R. First weekend in June.  The ride starts with 350 riders at 10.00am Sat and finishes at 10.00am on Sunday. Lots of night riding available ;D

Niterider has some nice helmet lights, you can get HID and LED.   http://www.niterider.com/index.shtml

also Baja Designs   https://www.bajadesigns.com/NET/C-165/HIGH+PERFORMANCE+%26+RACE+LIGHTING

I only tried night time riding offroad last year at the 24hr race.  It was different , I enjoyed it a lot.

Pete a good headlight is of no use to you!! The front wheel needs to on the ground for it to work!! Think some of those neon lights off a dandy commodore on the bashplate probly more use, and will give the Berg a little more bling. Al

About $180 from Riders Edge. Well worth it. Works quite well, but is tricky to fit if you run a speedo. I don't.
