Hi,
The the closest area I know of closest to you are in Bunyip (Gembrook) and Tarago (Labertouche) State Forests. Riding is mostly on red clay which makes it interseting.
Yarra, Latrobe and Tanjil State Forrests also have good tracks if you travel further out.

P.S. Being close to Melbourne these area's are patrolled by Police usally on KTM's. Ensure your bike is registered with an attached origional number plate and you have your license and registration label on you.

Regards,

Brad

Hi Husky,

Well if you get a bike by the weekend then Phil's Marysville ride is a great starter.  Not too far from Cranbourne.

I also run a near regular ride aimed at beginners/lower experience at Cobaw (it makes me look better than I am), and last ride one of the group came from Cranbourne so you could share a ride over. Next one should be after the MotoGP.

So thinking of a TE450, don't think you could go too far wrong there.

Cheers,

Mat R.

Try Frankston MX track then to go for a ride on the new bike.  Look on the web for details but pretty sure they take all bikes.  I ride mine out at the Laverton track every now and then just for fun.  You can start to fine tune the bike setup to suit yourself.

Cheers,

Mat.

Didn't Ken Robinson say he was selling the loved TE550 of his? May be worth asking him. Look him up online.

Hi Husky,

I'm only 15 min down the road on Koo wee, by far I reckon the best place close to home is Neerim sth. It's got some hard, medium & easy stuff all thrown in. If you want to go for a cas ride on a week end, let me know.
