Hi'ya Dustin.

Remember me, I was on that ride when you had that big crash.

How's the shoulder & leg mate?

I just joined up, I had a bit of a look through the pic's & I see a few faces I know, so it's good to know that I'm not totally new here Grin

I've looked for a introduce my self section,it seems like there isn't one.

Anyway I'm 63 years young, & ride a G450X I'm looking to get out on the trails with some ppl around my age.

How are you Farnkie??

Shoulders coming along well, have been having physio for the past couple of weeks and should be able to lose the sling tomorrow (fingers crossed!). the leg has turned out to be the bigger issue, still alot of swelling (looks like i've got a small tit on my leg!) and causes a reasonable amount of discomfort....

Good to see you've joined - you wont regret it!! How's the beemer coming along - i saw you'd had some axle issues??

I'm sure Mat R will be happy to have you along for some of his rides - from what i gather he developed a soft spot for the beemers on a demo ride!!

You'll have to try ang get along to the next meeting on the last wednesday in March and we'll have a beer and a catch up!!

Dustin

No trouble with the axle,it was the rear wheel bearings the beemer run a three bearing hub, I noticed a very little movement in them, I thought it would do one more ride, Wrong the two bearings on the drive side destroyed them selves, as a result it damaged the inner tube a little & the spacer on the drive side, & guess what, BMW didn't have any in stock, was told it would take two weeks to come from Germany.

I got my mate Benny to make the tube & stainless steel spacers for me & got me back on the trail.
It's good to hear that you will be back on the bike again soon mate,I will try to get to the next meeting, & have a beer with ya.

Mat R, if you are thinking of getting a beemer, you better talk to me first, I've got a story to tell.

Falling off doesn't hurt, it's the sudden stop that does the damage.
