Hi guys I am the new guy here so hello  Grin

Anyway today I just brought the new leatt adventure brace from bike mart in Ringwood.
I have a new AXO air cage pro pressure suit and was going to by the new EVS neck brace but really could not get it to fit under the armour Sad
It seems the EVS is great for motorcross type amour but not pressure suits.
All I had to do to get a great fit was cut the 2 loops off at the top of the pressure so the tabs on the side of the brace sat down and allowed the brace to sit more forward.
Adjustmet wise it just seemed to fit so no real issue, I am a medium.
Downwood vision whilst standing is very restrictive but once sitting or standing on the bike was not noticable.
Rearwood head movement was ok,a little restrictive however was not an issue.
Getting the whole gear on and off was tuff and needed help, but with more use I might be able to work something out.
So I will keep u guys updated once i have used it on a ride.
Heading out to gembrook helepad on thursday to try it out and run the bike in ( KTM 380 )  if its still there after the weekend  Wink

Welcome to the club, there's a few guys that run the neck braces im not sure of what armor they run with them.

I've heard they are a bit restrictive but they wouldn't work if they weren't
Most people say after a few rides you wont notice it except for the down hills when you looking up the next hill.

Let us know how you go with it
Cheers Dave

I bought mine a while ago from bikemart and got their help to fit it.  I have Ballistic EVS body armor and had to cut a slot just above the hard plastic back protector for the back of the brace to go into.  I found this works really well and the brace sits down on my shoulders like it is meant to.  Haven't found it restrictive at all apart from going downhill and wanting to look up the next hill as Dave mentioned.

Haven't tested it yet and hopefully never will but is good peace of mind to know I have it.  The next thing will be a set of knee braces to replace the guards I have.  Knee Braces are bloody expensive but as some people say they are cheaper than a knee reconstruction.

Hi there Sjkermode
I also have a pair of EVS knee braces( from bike mart )
and they have beed fantastic!!
there is nothing wrong with my knees so i think the cheaper option is the way to go.
I have had some good offs ( not a reflection of my ability lol ) and never had a problem.  good value in my book.

Well guys went riding yesterday to run the bike in and  test the fit the brace.
I ended up wearing it over the top of all my gear as this offered the best fit and being the most confortable.
It did not restrict any of my head movements and really didnt even feel as though i had it on,very very happy and would recomend it to anyone, as i belive becuse you can fit it over the top of your gear there is no need to cut biger neck holes in your ridding gear. Grin

I also got a chance to test it Shocked  not really what i was trying to do though.
Riding along a fire trial that went near power lines,I just up shifted to 5 gear when the bloody road disapeared from beneath me ( poo!)
I ended up going nose down into what was now the road but some 8 ft down and promply took flight over the bars as the front wheel tucked under as i hit the ground!!
I got polaxed in the ground head first i think ,and poo it hurt!!
I think i need a new stack hat as i have bruising just above my left eye,The body armour wore the skin away on my left sholder and my chest inbetween my pecks feel like someone has punched me(I think this is due to the front of the brace deflecting the force)and my right thumb is swollen and bruised with very litte movement.
and a banged up left knee, but only a little sore.

But no neck pain at all and no back pain, the rest of the stuff will pass in a few days, so its ok.
I would of hated to imagine if i was not wearing the brace!!
So its been the best $500.00 I have ever spent !!

As for the bike, All good the forks got twisted and the rear guard is a little seconhand but otherwise good. Grin
