Title: What to carry on a ride ? Post by: Red Rooster on February 01, 2011, 12,46:53 PM Hi all.
I am considering joining AMTRA and I would like to join a ride or two and see if its for me. Can anyone advise me on what I should be carrying on a given ride please ? Cheers. Title: Re: What to carry on a ride ? Post by: Mat R on February 01, 2011, 01,40:17 PM Water, some basic tools that fit your bike (wheel nuts, plug spanner and any other special tools) and spares like levers, tubes etc.
We carry a first aid kit within the group, and usually will be able to sort any problems between us or get the rider and bike recovered. At level 1, not much is expected to be carried while at experienced you should have a fairly comprehensive trail kit that you take with you. Hope to see you on an AMTRA ride soon. If fixing a flat isn't one of your strong points, more experienced riders will be more than willing to show you how if you have the tools and spare tube ;D Title: Re: What to carry on a ride ?
