Good on you for posting this Ian.  As a proffesional logger and also someone who has been bitten by the wrong end of a chainsaw and also had and seen life threatening logging incidents/accidents, it sometimes disturbs me to to see the lack of knowledge some chainsaw users have about what is potentially a dangerous piece of equipment.  If anyone would like some tips on chainsaw use give me a PM or phone me on 0427760589.   trust me the bit that goes round and round does awful damage when it comes into contact with flesh, it doesn't cut it rips the flesh out and leaves horrendous injuries..
