Post by: Willbar on January 08, 2012, 07,46:47 AM
it looks like I may have found a new home for my old XR so I need to find a replacement , something from the 1990s with disc brakes and light, 2 stroke may b nice for a change, WR or KDX or EXC, anyone got something interesting hiding in there shed they wish to part with, let me know. Regards Will

I thought you said you want an old banger!  1990 isn't old!

Go pre-85, that way you can come and do vinduros with Pat and me, ( and anyone else that wants to come along).

There is a lot of weight to stop when Im on a bike  ;D and without disc brakes its a bit daunting the thought of trying to stop all that mass.

OK I just won a 1984 DT250 with a front disc on the evil bay so I can get the best of both worlds if it turns out ok. Shame about the metal fuel tank.

Looks like you will have a challenge on your hands just 27  days to the old bangar ride to have it all up and running any test rides on the horizon  ;)
