The Barrabool track at McAdam Park, home to the Sporting Motorcycle Club has been secured for continued use as a motorcycling facility. The land was up for sale and through state government grants, Motorcycling Australia funding and donations from individuals and organisations such as AMTRA the required funds to buy the property from the estate of the late George McAdam were raised.

This is a great outcome for off road sport motorcycling.

MA release is here

Good news!  It seemed to happen very quickly!

They had a deadline to meet on Sept 8, so with money put in by state government, regional support and donation only 1/3 short - which MA has provided in what seems to be a loan.

Support from individuals and groups such as AMTRA would have helped to show the facility was wanted by many.

They have been working on getting funds for a few years so a great outcome for all their work.

Hopefully they don't need to get a shed built. Tongue
