Where I want to be...

I’ve found a flaw with the Crossfires; they are hard on bike plastics and frames.
The inner calf area of them has a moulded plastic piece that has sharp edges that scratch the bike plastics/stickers and frames.
Other boots I’ve had used leather in the inner calf area that doesn’t scratch the bike up.

Sidi or Gaerne it don't matter which pair you pick they are as good as each other, I don't think you could go wrong with either of them...IMHO

I have had a pair of Sidi's for over 3 years now and I have had to do a few repairs to them, replace a couple of buckles - $25.00 ea., restich some bits that came undone - $100, replaced the washers & bush hinges - $30, but they will be good for a couple of more years.

The only thing that poo's me about them is they are a bit fiddle to put on.

Ive got Garrne S12 and they have done about 2,000km now
very happy with them as a boot.
Id never buy alpinstar again after these boots
Never tryed sidi's, got scared off with all the broken ankle reports. Maybe the boot? might just be a common boot and the ankle would have broken anyway?

But what fits good and feels good.

You could wear jap safety boots if you never crash  Undecided

Spray the outside with silicone spray and you will find them easier to put on. Spray some inside for some real fun and lots on the inside leg were you grip your bike  Grin Grin Grin
