Ok the time has come for new boots, "what do you wear" ??
I'm in the market for new boots, and i still think the Sidi boots are up there with the best. I'm keen on the Crossfires!!
What do you wear ? Are you happy with them?? What don't you Like ?
I've had 4 Pairs of boots: Rossies Fox (MC MART) Sidi "Original Flex" Sidi "Flex"

I've got Cross-fires.
Everyone told me they were the duck's guts. I don't find them as comfortable as my old W2's. They are brilliantly designed and put together, but I'm a little disappointed.

Ive had a pair of tech 8's for about 6 or so months, very comfortable and feel like they offer plenty of protection. Love the removable booties from a cleaning perspective as well.
HATE the buckles, i find them hard to do up and at times even harder to undo (allthough i'm thinking that might just be me cos nobody else seems to have an issue with the buckles

One comment from me just like a helmet dont look at the price tag get some advice and try them all on , look at the price after you put them on the sales counter. I started riding 5 months ago and because i had to buy everything from a spanner set to the bike itself i bought a pair of UFO Hero's to try and stay within budget, man they are a great boot protection wise but if you gotta start walking around , lifting bikes over trees , wrestling the bike on a side of a hill etc all that phisical stuff It feels like you are waering concret blocks. I dont hate them but I would do it different next time, didnt skimp on the helmet and should not have skimped on the boots. This comment is not so much for you Pete its more for other newbies like me that may read the post.

My Crossfires are great, most comfortable boots I've ever owned. Haven't had them long enough to comment on durability but seem to be wearing well.

I'm wearing SIDI chargers and lovin'them so far..A bit/lot cheaper than the crossfires..I think the only difference is the stitched sole compared to the screw on one.

Walked into Riders Edge today, to change over my Goggles as they don't fit as well as they should, walked out with a New Pair of SIDI Crossfires. "How the hell did that happen" i just went in to change over the Goggles with no intention of spending Money, and wad of Pineapples just vanished into thin air!!!

I brought a pair a SIDI crossfire about 3 months ago from Peter Steven in FTG. Very comfy boot. I tryed on about 10 diff type's of boot and the SIDI where the best.
The only thing with the SIDI's are you have to check the screws as they can come loose and they are harder to clean than say a pair of Alpinestar. Also you have to spray silicone on the moving parts other wise you will be making a heap a 'sqweeky' noises when you walk.
If your a lazy person get the Alpinestar - if you are prepared to look after your boots for the comfort factor and riding ability - get the SIDI.

I am also impressed with the Crossfire’s, wore my new to me pair for the fist time today. Good boot, like everyone has said, felt fine straight away. Got em 2nd hand from Tayf for $150. He brought size 11 for his size 13 feet and thought they would stretch and be okay, no, my win What I really liked about them was how solid the soles are and how they support your feet, standing on the pegs for a long time is much more comfortable. Glad I saw on here that everyone else liked em, made the choice to get them easy.
