Title: Kenda Rally
Post by: Fireypete on May 03, 2011, 09,37:32 PM
Hello all,
Tried the Kenda rally on the week end.  First rally attempt.  Pretty busy with so many bikes and cars and things took a while to happen but nothing too bad.  The two circuits were 70k and 80k which is plenty for a rider on their 5th ever ride.  For a begginer I found the tracks very good, a few challenges but nothing that stopped me.  The small creek crossing and a bog hole had the eyes wide, but again no probs.  other riders were pretty good, no dramas.  I would think rain would change the circumstances a fair bit, but the weather was fine.  I was among the very last to leave so after 400 plus bike had gone over the same track they were in really good condition, dare I say 4x4's destroy tracks more than bikes!  Give the rally a try.
There were a few casualties on the day, and a few flat tyres.  I rode at my own pace and organised to meet my mates at the 40k mark so they could blast and i did not have to try to keep up, had good tyres and ultra heavy duty tubes.  while many flash bikes were sitting on the side of the track the mighty DRZ kept on going.  Yeah, not a bad way to spend a day.
