fox v3 helmet is winning me over at the moment and im seeing more and more of them on riders both at the track and in the bush. good ventilation with 2 air vents that can be clicked open or closed. nice light weight carbon. excellent helmet which isnt overly priced.

Yep i got a V3 and i love it , First Class have them at the moment for 289.00 nearly half what i paid last year , they also have Sidi Crossfires for 569.00 it took alot of control not to walk out with a pair and dump those house bricks i wear.

Fox V3 Carbon Fibre's the go young Darren, as you know i have had my last helmet as long as you have had your helmet, so yes get a Helmet " And this time" Buy the carbon one.
Boots: Sidi Crossfire hands down.
Pants: Who cares,as long as they're over boots, so the water doesn't get into your shiny new Boots.

Helmet - one that fits. If you come off a lot then a cheaper one that you will replace sooner is better than an expensive one that you want to hang onto. Been happy with the M2R 2.5 - but will get another soon and may look at the V3 Fox if they are cheap enough. Try them on as fit is more important.
Same with the boots, the Sidi's just did not fit me and the Astars Tech 8 were right first time.
Pants - just about anything as long as it fits. Consider if you want knee braces under them. If you wear them take them along when you try on the pants. The Dririder is good and has a waterproof layer that can be taken out for drier and warmer conditions. They do slip a bit on me though which I don't like. The overboot section does tend to wear a bit quicker but they do help keep the feet a bit drier.
