Dave I have 2, think the first one was EVO or something, it is the horseshoe shape one, comfy to wear when it stayed in the position it was supposed to stay in but when it moved it was a pain in the arse. Easy to put on and off. Have a basic Leatt which I got from the states for around $250, hard to put on and off and I put on first then my armour and shirt and it does not move so no discomfort whilst riding, a little more restrictive than the first one, Can not wear it above my armour as it ends up being to high for me. You are welcome to borrow the EVO one if you wish as its only used by Hame now and he has no rides coming up.

Dave, don't waste your money on any of the cheap sub standard neck braces that are out there. There's only 2 neck braces worth parting with your hard earned for and that's the Alpinestars one and the Leatt one.
I've had my Leatt Club for four and a half years now and i wouldn't ride without it, if i turned up to a ride and it wasn't in my gear bag i'd load up my bike and go home.
The Leatt Club has full adjustability and you can make it work with all sorts of different body armour, mine goes over the top of my body armour and jersey and is on and off in a matter of seconds.
Neck braces take a bit of getting used to when you first start wearing them but they are worth their weight in gold, mine has saved me a couple of times in a couple of particularly nasty high speed crashes, once your used to them you don't even know they are there.
The Leatt Brace in a heavy impact transfers the load into your collar bones and they have been known to break collar bones because of this, but what would you prefer a broken collar bone or a broken neck. I believe the Alpinestar neck brace doesn't rest on your collar bones there fore there's less chance of a broken collar bone.
Best advice is to take your body armour to a bike shop and put it on and then try on the different neck braces and see which one works for you and is most comfortable for you within your budget.

Alpinestars Bionic with Alpinestars armour. Tried the Leat, but found it too restrictive (but the less movement, the better they protect) $300 from Powerhouse.

As above, take armour, helmet with you when buying. Take your time. One thing to remember that wearing one will not guarantee protect in all acidents, but i would be reluctant to ride without one.

I put on a custum graphics kit on mine to make it look a bit better than plain white they come in.

Get one, they have come down in price a lot.

Leatt GPX club, has lots of adjustments. The brace needs to be "fitted" to you by someone who knows how.
I just bought one for Senna and one for myself for Christmas.
They were both used, but like new. The fella selling them used to be a Leatt sales rep. He explained how they worked and how to adjust them. He spent time with Senna and I and made sure they were adjusted to suit our body size. He explained how to check and adjust Senna's brace as he grows.
once you ride with them for a while you will forget they are there.
