Title: Re: Adding Photos Post by: Tim Dykes on November 18, 2012, 08,55:29 AM Has your photo got onto the site?
I've had a look in the gallery and I can't see any new photos there. If it is there:- Click on your photo in the gallery, when it comes up at the bottom of the photo you'll see BB Code, copy all that is in that box and paste it into your post. So it will look like this (I have to add the dots to spot the photo being here). [.img]http://www.vinamtra.com.au/forum/gallery/18_15_11_12_4_11_57_4.JPG[/img.] (http://www.vinamtra.com.au/forum/gallery/18_15_11_12_4_11_57_4.JPG) Title: Re: Adding Photos Post by: Serge C on November 18, 2012, 08,59:34 AM Sandra, As Tim says, it sounds like you haven't added the photos to the gallery. You have to do this first, before you can add them to your post. Alternately, you can open a photo sharing account (like Photobucket) and up load them from there. Title: Re: Adding Photos Post by: Tim Dykes on November 18, 2012, 09,03:13 AM Have you resized your photos, if they are too big they will not load onto the site.
I resize mine to around 750X560 or 225Kb. Title: Re: Adding Photos Post by: Tim Dykes on November 18, 2012, 09,14:58 AM So same as I said above, click on the photo(so it's a full picture)in your gallery then below will the BB Code Title: Re: Adding Photos Post by: Serge C on November 18, 2012, 09,20:40 AM Maybe, it's not clear!
Once you are typing in the post box, you need to click on the add image button (it's next to the one, next to the YouTube button). This will bring up two stes of brackets saying [img] . Place the code between these brackets (for each individual pic), and that should do it. Title: Re: Adding Photos Post by: steve f on November 18, 2012, 07,43:01 PM Has your photo got onto the site? Ken, Google "How to resize photos" first and work through that. I find 750 wide by 562 high works on here okay. I use "Microsoft Office Picture Manager" I get to that by right clicking on the file and then it's under "open with" from there under "picture" on the top line you'll find "Resize" then on the right you'll see where you can change the size of the image. Then save the changed file under a different name, I just add an "r" to the file name and call it done. Google "uploading pictures on a simple machines forum" Go to the gallery and open the gallery you with to put the photo in, at the bottom of that page you'll see "add a photo" and "bulk add photos" click on one or the other, add some info of the photo then "browse" back through your computer to get to the photo you wish to upload, double click on the file of the photo and it will be ready to be uploaded once you click the "add pictures" square. Now when you look at the gallery you photo should be there. Google, "posting pictures on a simple machines forum". When you click on a small image in the gallery, it will come up full size, below that in a rectangular box is the address where that photo lives on the web site, copy and paste everything in that box into your reply and you should now get that photo in your post. It's easier to have two browsers open to do this part. Have a go at this with any photo in the gallery first and see how you go. Well I hope you get them in your post, Ken it's all up to you now Title: Re: Adding Photos Post by: David Smith on November 21, 2012, 10,31:56 PM You can also click on the help tap in the main memu and then clock on posting and scroll down to the bottom and its got examples on how to change sizes aswell.
