Spent the day today, getting ready for next weekends HCR.

Bike washed, greased and oiled.  Air cleaner serviced, nuts and bolts checked, sprockets and chain checked and all good to go.

Camping gear all sorted and stacked by the garage door.  riding gear all sorted and washed and ready to go.

Radio charged up, camera charged up,and  batteries in torches.

Just need to sort out some food for Friday and Sunday nights and should be ready to load.

Oh, and need to get through a muther load of work during the week!

I plan to have Thursday off and do all that. If it is like every other year "something urgent will need to be done" and I will be running late as usual. Fitted a new chain and sprockets and wheel bearings to my bike this afternoon however I am not taking it to the hcr as I will be out in the 4wd for most of the time so there seems little point to drag it up there just for transport around the property.

I dont need to ride. I am happy to do the other jobs as needed.
Seeing as I deleted approx 700 of my posts last year during the web site clean up I just thought I would post a bit of rubbish as it seems there may be some sort of excitement when you get to 1000 and then 2000 posts!

I guess when you have been a club member for 40 years you dont need to go on many rides and I dont get time to ride in my favorite area these days. (Snowy River area north of Orbost). Besides, lots of people think I cant ride so why let them think differently?   Wink Wink

Because if everyone at the HCR rode then there would be no-one doing the other jobs that need doing.

During my 43 years with AMTRA I can confirm that Ian has been spotted on a bike in the bush, it may have been steam powered, but it was a bike.

Come on Ian, we know we don't have to ride to prove anything, been almost everywhere and done almost everything, but man it's still a shyte load of fun, lets ride together on Sunday? There must be others who can 4WD rescue on Sunday!!!

ONLY THREE MORE SLEEPS. Grin

I've ridden with Ian once at Neerim, from what I've seen he don't need any help, he gets along pretty good for an old bloke  Grin
