Abbeyard use and fires

Hi,
Are there any restrictions by the Club WRT using Abbeyard under the current conditions? (Besides the abvious)

At the moment there appears to be three fires around the area some distance away at Glenrowan, Yackanadah and Dargo.

Did we replace the spot fire type fire fighting backpacks that were lost in the previous fires? These may prove useful come the HCR weekend in April or at a working bee.

I know there is at least one knapsack spray in the shed up at Abbeyard, at least there was last year during the working bees and the HCR. I assume it is still there.

The problem with abeyard is it is one hour to get out and no one will come and tell you to move your ass when the fires are coming

To all, Recent events have shown that there is a time to be noble and a time to be sensible. Please do not consider fighting a fire at abbeyard unless there is simply no other alternative. Even with the new shed, there is nothing of enough value to even think about staying at a time of doubt.

Totally agree Phill I lived in Belgrave in 83 an know its pointless.
I was asking if we have a usage policy when its so dry?
Otherwise wanted to understand the current equuipment set up is in case a camp fire goes out of control etc...

There is no policy regarding the property and the fire season.

We make choices the same as the one where we decide to ride motorcycles. If you think it's to dangerous don't do it.
