Title: Abbeyard 19th -20th Feb Working Bee
Post by: Peter r on February 20, 2011, 06,34:21 AM
I Have spent heaps of time last week organising all the Electrical Goodies for the New Shed Wiring for this weekend.
John T and i took off from my Joint around 3.30 pm and headed up with the van full for parts, swag and Esky, we arrived at 8.15pm and i jumped outta the Car and did a Rain Dance and within 30 Min the Rain was Hammering down, "Works Every time i go There".
We unloaded the Van and Cracked a Can, and sat down in the New shed to bang heads to see what we could come up with for the electrics.
A few people rolled up as the night went on, but we didn't hit the Piss that hard as we knew that tomorrow was going to be a big Day.

7.30am: I woke to hear Meatheads voice, so it was time to eat and get stuck into the job a hand.

8.00am: Everything fell into place very quickly as Dennis D, Michael N, Phil R and Rob C put there hands up to bee the Trades assistants for Rod W John T and Myself. John T started the Cable tray work with Phil, Rod and Rob had there lights and wiring and Dennis and myself got stuck into the lighting and Kitchen Power outlets. Dennis was also in charge of Tea making and Cable tie installation.

12.00: We were around 40% finished and Knew it was going to be a long days work, but we kept at it "Flat Out" as we all knew that if we didn't finish it today, it wasn't gunna get finished tomorrow.

4.30: Pat R was starting to make the Pizza Dough for everyone's Dinner, so we turned the wick up a bit, so we could finish before Dinner was ready.

6.00: There was pizza on the Table, but we all just kept at it and had Pizza on the run, Rod, Rob & Timmy were finishing the Outside Lighting, while John and i were fighting to get the Switchboard and the 12 Light switches complete.

8.00  Everything was complete, so on with the Generator to test everything and make sure everything was correct and Safe, everything tested 100% Ok so now it's good to go.

Every Power outlet and light are Fully protected by Safety Switches and will now give the Club members 100% peace of mind when using the power outlets in a Safe and correct manner.
All Lighting Switches and Circuit Breakers are Labelled to ensure correct operation.

I would Like to Thank everyone who helped, even if it was just to foot the extension Ladders as the Painted Floor was wet and very slippery.

Special Thanks to John T & Rod W for their get it done today attitude and  100% quality Workmanship.

Also thanks to Dennis D, Phil R and Michael N  for doing exactly as we Said and running around doing all the Sh!tty work for Me and the other 2 tradesman.
Also thanks to: , Rob C, Pat R, Timmy D & everyone else for your support.

Thanks Matt R for going outta your way to picking up the Cable tray.

Thanks Denis Kelly for Clipping on the Power point covers, i know it's a hard job but you held your head high, and did a fab job of it.

We all worked our Ass's off all day, and ended up with a Shed that would be the Envy of any Motorbike Club in Victoria.

Yes i did hear People mowing Lawn and doing stuff around me, but i can't tell you much else about the Weekend as i hardly left the Shed.

Thanks Guys
Pete

NEXT:      Kitchen.
          Split System Air Conditioning.

Pat also did a terrific job with Pizzas on Saturday night - he turned out countless Pizzas untill everyone had had their fill and they were very tasty.

8Kva (33a) vs 6.7Kva (28a) which ever is the most reliable.
Now all we need is a flat screen TV with a 100ft aerial and it would be a palace, not sure much riding would happen?

Just come in today, 5.0kw Cooling & 6.0kw Heating, Tested and ready for Abbeyard, all we need to build it a Room in the LH Corner and we will have a  Bike Gear drying, Cooling & Heating Room, then stick in a Fridge and Happy Days!!
It's a NON inverter type, so it will run on the Super cheap Generator and it pulls 8.5A Cooling & 10.2A Heating
I will supply and install it for FREE "Yes" FREE.
So what do you Think Yes / No ??

I have a couple of Satellite dishes sitting around, maybe we should be looking at Foxtel!!!

If you install the AC I can build the walls and ceiling of the drying room.
