Title: Marysville Bakery Back in Business
Post by: sjkermode on April 12, 2009, 09,00:42 AM
I went for a ride on the 640 up through the spur, onto Marysville, Buxton and back home on Good Friday.  While Marysville itself is pretty devastating the Bakery was back in business and doing a roaring trade.  The were a couple of visitor information people out the front handing out flyers that show what is open.  So if you can spare the time drop in to help the remaining businesses out.

On another note I had a look at some of the main tracks we go down and they were all closed.  This was the track at the Granton Car Park, The end of Dyes Lane at Buxton where it heads up into the Pine Forest and Gypsy Lane.  Not sure when they re-open.

We went through the area also on Friday on our way to Peter Ross' Eildon ride and noticed that the Tudor Inn at Narbethong has gone...so no fuel or lunch there! Also the Buxton Roadhouse just south of the town has also gone...so again no chance of fuel or lunch there.

To all,  There is still fuel and burgers at Narbathong at the servo/caravanpark, and fuel at Buxton north of the pub. We have a lot of tracks closed, but a lot still open, and a few new ones courtesy of the fire control effort.
We will be doing a bit more research on Sunday.
