Any one out there know any tricks to get your decals to stay on the fuel tank.
They keep on peeling off after a few weeks. The last ones I fitted have lasted a few months but are now falling off .
Thanks Darren

Just make sure the adhesive is not dissolved by petrol.

Decals need to be perforated Darren as the plastic fuel tanks actually lets fuel vapour out thru the plastic which softens the glue causing them to come off, it still happens with the perforated type of lower quality but if they are on a 3m backing they seem to last well, Drain your fuel tank out when you finish riding and leave the cap of the tank and you probably wont have any probs as teh vapours will escape thru the top. Put a clean rag over the hole to stop any unwanted things getting into the tank. Will

If that’s the case with plastics letting the petrol leech thru can I line the tank with?
Epoxy fuel tank sealer this is the only one I have found to clam to be safe with plastic fuel tanks $75.00 buys a kit to do 2x 5 gal tanks (19 lt) there is no smaller kits. With the good quality decals setting me back around $30 bucks a set it should save me money in the long run? But only if it works.

Any ideas on going this way

Thanks Darren
