Title: Re: value for money Post by: Frankie-boy on June 23, 2013, 09,47:31 AM For $5 a month I might have to rethink about rejoing the club again :-\
Title: Re: value for money Post by: Willbar on June 23, 2013, 10,27:42 AM Just found another reason when the phone rang at 4pm this afternoon and my sister inlaw was on the phone telling me my brother inlaw who is not a member of AMTRA who was away camping and trailbike riding with the kids had flipped his bike and was getting in an ambulance and could I go with her to Merton to drive there car and trailer full of bikes and camping gear back home for them so she could then go onto the hospital. This does not seam to be a problem the majority of the time in AMTRA , we seam to look after each other very well with out needing to bother the downed riders family to much, whats that worth, fecking priceless. I bet there has been lots of inhouse rescues over the years from fellow mates in the club, how can you put a price on that, or when someones bikes craps its self out in the middle of no where, trying getting a tow truck into Huggets or Fumina to play rescue. My family are now all home safe and sound and my brother inlaw is being checked out in Maroondah.
But you know what as much as I encourage people to join this great club I would also encourage someone to not join if the club did not suit them or they did not get on with the majority of members and as I always say AMTRA is not for everyone and there is nothing wrong with that, Happy AMTRAing everyone. |
