Wondering if anyone has experience with fitting radiator guards to WR250F 07, i have noticed previously a few of you guys recommend running them.  Maybe a brand that you prefer or use currently, Ballards Xtreme radiator guards or the GYTR ones etc?  Twisted one radiator up a couple of weeks but didnt puncture it luckily and rode out of the forest and got it repaired, almost left this upgrade too late, just lucky! Thanks Leigh.

Leigh,

I just fitted a set of Force Accessories guards to my '07 250.  They went on a treat and are as strong as.  They are available through their web-site, or speak to Brian.  Let him know you're from Amtra and I'm sure he'll help you out.

I also have Force Guards on my WR, easy to fit, just be careful when tightening up where the radiator guards join.  The thread is brass and very easy to strip.

Unanimous decision on the Force Radiator Guards. There tough enough to handle heavy side impacts and do a great job protecting the guards from flying rocks courteous of those damb 450's

see the xr400 has it advantages, air cooled and fast enough not to get rocks flung at you.

Have ordered a set of Force guards for the 426, may get them in time for Marysville this weekend and may even have time to fit them.  Mentioned AMTRA and got a discount and postage thrown in.

Also ordered some other goodies from Ballards, but they won't be here until next week.  I love spending bike money. These should be on in time for the Abbeyard weekend.

Gotta get fast enough to throw rocks at the XR's.

I have the GYTR guards on my WR450.  They fit really well and I bought them on advice from my dealer over the force guards which they also sold.

The only problem with the GYTR is they offer absolutely no protection from objects like rocks and branches puncturing the radiators.

Hi,
The guards I have are DEVOL which I got from Ballards.
They mount on two side bolts only (need an extended socket to mount them)these bolts are the ones that hold the actual radiator on. No problems so far also I have modified them to attach at the bottom external corners for strength.
Looking at a larger fuel tank which I understand can be an issue with aftermarket radiatior guards fitted. Will let you know when I save up the money to buy the tank.

Rgds,
