cheers for the welcome guys....
the mods ive done on my dr650se 2009 are...
1..rear 44tooth gear..the stock gear is more road orintated. you can't roll at 10kms on the stock. it wants to stall. the 44t fixed that. it makes the bike alot easier to use onroad and better low end offroad..this by far is the best hopup ive done..it changed the whole bike..
2.front and rear springs...im 6'4 and 120+kgs..this was an amazing hopup..you realy need to have felt the stock springs then the new setup to appreciate it..
3.new bars.easton fat bars with nice tall raisers..been 6'4 when i was up on the pegs i felt i was over the front a bit to much..these or any other high lift bars was very comfy.i recon i could bend the stock bars just by resting it on the grond.
4.zeti bark busters..says it all realy..
5.got rid of the stock cement mixer tail lights..bit of custom work worked out fine..cops liked it too..
6.im running dunlop 606 dot front and rear..i use my bike for all my quotes and a bit of work so need it on road aswell..
7.replaced the stock pegs with lower pegs..again been so tall, this was a great hopup..lower centre of gravity and also brought the bars towards me more..
8.home made radiator protector..i had a sheet of perferated stainless steel so a little fab work while holding a beer or 2 and that save me 175 bucks..
9.replaced the front fender with an acerbis motard fender.i found while cruising on 90-110kms the stock fender would bouce around alot..the acerbis fender is more aero and lets more air to the radiator..not realy neaded but....
10.b&b plate for the guts..says it all realy
11.removed the pillion pegs and the rear turn signal mount bars, again for weight..
12. next will be a new exhaust..not sure yet.looking at staintune system, fmf q4 system , or
..whatever exhaust i get it will be half the weight of the stock pipe..
13. with the new pipe i will need to ,re jet/airbox mod.
geebus hope the wife dosnt read this...
