Title: AMTRA in Canberra any riders here?
Post by: mhough on May 22, 2008, 08,37:35 AM
I used to be a member of AMTRA in the early 70's so much fun and a great bunch of guys.  Now in the ACT finished building Houses and Kids and have some time to play.  I have a new bike Kawasaki KLX250S. So different to a Suzuki TS185 with a bassani pipe. Sad though no one to ride with any links or contacts welcomed.

Don't know of any AMTRA members, but there are a few off road tour operators on the south coast.  Would be a good way to get to know some trails around the Batemans Bay area and possibly meet up with some local riders.

Also a few out of Sydney that operate in the southern highlands area.  And there are the trail lodges at Binacrombie and Lochmaree not too far out of Goulbourn.

Bit furhter than ducking down to the Brindabellas though.

Take a look at Trailrider magazine as they have a pretty comprehensive listing.

And if you check here for Abbeyard based rides then you are no futher away from the property than most members in Melbourne.
