Hi people,

I am new to this site and have just moved from Queensland to Victoria. I own a 2011 YZ 250 and am looking for some people to ride with either farm or trial rides. Does AMTRA have any rides that do not require you to have your Rec registration? Sorry if this question seems silly but i am new to the rules down here so bare with me =)

Regards,

Jay,
in Victoria all tracks are classed as roads under Vic law. This means that full or rec reg is required. The advantage of any registration is it provides TAC cover for injuries.
I dont think AMTRA has any rides where a yz 250 would be suitable with no registration.

Except perhaps, Daylesford family days, where you will be able to ride a limited track, provided you stay on the private property.

The good news is that rec reg is fairly easy to get for a YZ250F.

A rec reg lighting kit is about $300 and has everything you need to fit to the bike. Then it is about $350 for the initial registration (most of which is stamp duty on the value of the bike) and then $79 a year for continuing registration.

Then most of the state is your ride park.
