Anybody interested in a 50-50 dirt/bitchy ride covering Wombat - Lerderderg State Forest and maybe Cobaw State Forest. Meet at 7.30am outbound Calder Park BP servo, just past Calder Park Raceway. The plan is to ride some tracks as well, so a little off road experience would be beneficial however we will be sticking to the easier tracks so nothing should be too difficult? I will be riding a Ktm 990 Adventure so all bikes big and small are welcome as long as the big bikes have OFF ROAD BIASED tyres. If we get over to Cobaw we could be doing some easy single track GREAT FUN EVEN ON BIG BIKES. I have to admit there may be some stop start looking at maps etc as I have not ridden these areas for a very long time, so please come with a sense of humor.
Depending on who is coming and their relative experience depends on where we go. If you want to take the next step and try some tracks on your adv bikes this may be the ride for you. There will be plenty of help given if you need it. Lunch will be in Trentham or Woodend, again no set plan. The ride will be cancelled if rain is forecasted.
Feel free to post or ring me on 0466 772 630
Cheers Russ

Fyi / Reply below copied from adv rider.
RIDE IS STILL ON. A little bit of hot weather does not concern me, however we will cut the ride a little short and get ourselves back to civilization by mid afternoon "hottest part of the day" We will still cover a fair distance in four or five hours of riding. We will cut out Cobaw and head to the pub for a late lunch and some bench racing. We will then head our seperate ways via the fastest route home.
Beginners are welcome on this ride as long as you have done some basic dirt easy 4wd track riding and you ride with basic confidence. Track conditions will be easy as tracks will be dry and remember two of us will be on 200 + kilo bikes.
Ring me on 0466 772 630 If you have any questions.
Cheers Russ.

Log hopping on a Gs 1200. Don't worry Greg, this only happens on Nathans rides. Catch up with you on the next one Nathan, see if we can trash another couple of rear tyres in the process. Good luck in the 12 hour you mad bastard.
See you in the morning Greg.
Cheers Russ.
