Going to run a toned down ride to what seems to be the veiw of a "CLUBMAN" ride should be. (if you trust me?)
Riders will need to bring fuel for 150 - 160ks and have a range of 100ks. Extra fuel will be carried by support car as will your lunch. At this stage its BYO lunch! Ride will be technical and cover some more open trails than usual and will cross several rivers. My usual start point for regulars or contact me for details. On the bikes for 9am sharp start. 15 riders.

Carpark will be a cozy fit, so park thoughtfully. Also bring enough fuel to fill your bikes again after lunch, just in case its wet as forward progress can be an issuse? Also snags in bread for lunch is on

Hey brother, cant resist ur Fumina rides ! Clubman, hmmmm wata ya think ? Put me down for two (Sean) at this stage till I hear back from you. Sounds like HCR was a winner. Rode at Narbethong on Sunday and bumped into two guys on the way back from the HCR and said they had a blast.

Enjoyed the HCR and the Amtra part of the weekend. Lefty this ride is my new "Clubman" and will be the same level as it was with you and Zeb last time. Im going to run the more fun version as "Experenced" and see if anyone turns up? Im happy for Sean to come, you will be the better one to call that? Just remeind him to pace himself as it will be a lot more physical than Mt Buller! And if its wet out there it really steps up a gear! You will know how slick its going to be by the size of my smile in the morning!!

Zeb, your on the list. But if you go swimming again???

After the thearapy i undertook at the HCR no worries here Al , its not that i learned to cross them better i have learned to get of my bike much faster their for avoiding a swim ( I HOPE ) ;D really looking forward to it see you Sat.  Kinda even looking forward to seeing lefy again " NOT "  ;D

I hate to do this to you Al, but I'm going to have to pull out. Turns out that, as pointed out to me by a cop over Easter, my license has expired! Was nice of Vicroads to let me know...

Well thanks to everyone who turned up today! Hope the ride up to lunch is what you came for? Sorry i had to test the river depth and end my day, as my planned loop was to be more of the same as the morning. Thanks to Dave to taking the lead and to Gary for tailman duties for the day. I will soon put another Clubman or Experance ride on and show off the rest of the loop. Cheers Al

Thanks Al for the day, we finished up with about 95km for the day, the afternoon flowed better than the morning with no more problems. Got back tho the cars at 4:10.
And no thanks to Dave, as his lack of knowledge of the area saw up do 14km of two wheel drive road in one stint :P

Any video of the drowning AL, how come you couldn't get it going again?

Got it going easy enough and in record time, but both myself, rob's berg had very merky oil at the lunch stop and would not have been good to push them as we were so close to the cars. So Rob and i had the slowest recorded race back to the cars. No video footage as i was leading, but trusty Lefty got some pics of the ride leader dewatering his bike to make Zeb happy! So have a bit more work to do this week for next weekend Fumina ride? Al

You were right i reckon about the oil Al , drowing my bike 2 times in three weeks contributed to shortening life of my clutch i reckon , becasue both times i had a crank case full of water and rode hard for at least another 4 hours each time.... :-\

I too had a great day Al. That morning loop sure makes you feel alive. Big cheer goes out to the 3 generations of Masons that were there on the day (albeit, your father in law) and the smell of a BBQ at lunch time and a cold drink was very much appreciated !!!Cant do much about a rear wheel puncture, cant remember the last time I had one ! Drowning 3 bikes in that river sure chewed into the time and distance. Not even a Zeb in sight. Thanks for all your help, none, until next time...

Looks like you had a great day, a ride report is so much better with pic's thanks Lefty for putting them up.

I forgot to mention the lunch, those onions on my snag in bread were just Beautiful! :P

Did the 7-8 oil changes required and all seems OK with the berg.
Thanks to Al for a great ride, with a good mixture of tracks and of course thanks to Shaz and he dad for lunch.
Next time Im walking the Latrobe river, might as well as I always get wet socks here anyway.
