 AMTRA is hosting the Otway Trail Riders for a weekend of High Country Riding from the AMTRA property at Abbeyard.
Two days riding, the OTR guys want to ride in snow so day one will be a loop to the white stuff day two a shorter day for an early getaway.

All AMTRA members welcome.

Food put on, Roast dinner Saturday, Breakfast Sat+Sun.

I may be still banned from Tim's rides and not a full AMTRA member? I am only a HCR member and I know one other  + me HCR member interested in this ride

ps Unable to participate in most member activities due to location of residence

Hi I am an AMTRA member is that sufficient to partake in this ride? I also have a few riders interested to join AMTRA to do this event and others? Is there an entry form for this event? Entry fee? Where on the site would I find this detail?

If you say you’re a starter here on this thread that's the entry part sorted! Any member is welcome to come on the weekend.

Cost for the weekend is yet to be 100% finalised, the Otway guys are doing the drinks part. The three meals that we're doing for the weekend will be about $30.
I do the money part on the weekend but if you say you’re coming and don't show I'll still expect your money!

Cheers thanks for the reply......... How important is a functional break light? I went on the 2011 HCR and didn't have a break light didn't seem to much of an issue.

 The brake light is not hurting the reliably of the bike and will not stop you from finishing the ride...

If it was something that was going to stop the bike while we were out riding and then we needed to get you and the bike home and you knew about it before we left well then it would be >:(

Brake lights are covered in mud most of the time anyway!
   

Don't forget the head mounted torch ;) ;)

I still as yet are to nail down a cost for the weekend as the OTR guys run their rides a bit different to us in regards to the food/drink (they supply both) part but I'll post it up as soon as I know. Saturday’s dinner will be $15.

At the moment there is about 10 Otway’s guys for the weekend.

 The weekend is being run like a weekend I put on up there and the Otway guys will be our guests for the weekend.

So the food for the weekend (2 X breakfasts and the Roast on Saturday night) will cost about $30 a head. That money will also cover some snacks for the rides i.e., muesli bars fruit cake lollies and chips for when we're having an ale!

The weekend is BYO drinks.

Tim will be just me coming up looking forward to it see you then

Whats your thought on Saturdays ride mate?.
Are you looking to do more than 100 k's do we need to carry fuel or do you think we can drop into some where for a top up

 
Jeff, they say "never trust Tim"!


 Looking at how much snow was there last weekend I was thinking about a loop around the valley, river was way up also so that has to be taken into consideration also.
I'll say more than 100k but less than 150k ::)

Snow is the goal so if there isn't any around the high points of the valley we'll have to go a little further to find it, but I hope we'll find some over on Buffalo Range, that will make it a bit over 100k for the day.

Drop a bit at the start of the dirt on the way into the property Friday night, if we do the valley loop Saturday we'll go past the start of the dirt road.

Carry a little also ::)

We've also got a few late comers, 24 for the weekend now.
