Sunday 20th May.  Meet at Granton carpark next to the Acheron river.  8.30 am for 9.00 start.
Directions.  Proceed north through Healesville to Narbathong.
Take the Marysville road for exactly 2 km and cross over the bridge. Turn hard left at the end of the safety railing down to the carpark.
Easy day, level one riders, this is your day, 100 km depending on the weather. Lunch in Marysville probably!.

All welcome

Rolf.   I am not policeman, however the local has demonstrated that he in less tolerant than his predecessors.
So I would not suggest running the gauntlet.  But all is not lost, take your sandwiches and sit on a log next to the creek, and we will return!!.

Can you recommend anywhere I can throw my swag Saturday night close to the start of this ride or even a cheep bed in a pub or caravan park nearby.

Well if it is swag spot you want the start point itself is a place you could camp at, though it is by the main road into Marysville so may not be that quiet.  Otherwise I think there is a cararvan park at the black spur roadhouse or nearby. There is also a pub near the bottom of the spur on the Marysville side which I believe is bike friendly.

The one I am thinking of is Black Spur Inn, $85 for a motel type room. I thought they may have had lock up for motorcycles but don't see it mentioned on the website.

There is also black spur caravan park

262 Maroondah Hwy , Narbethong VIC 03 5963 7153  http://www.blackspurcaravanpark.com.au

Could not check the website at work, may be old.
