I'll start of the ride report by saying the apprehension about the time to travel and the weather was blown out of the water with the result of the day. Left home at 6.10 and had a great run out to Spargo Creek loading point. I found four punters there including Seano, all in various states of undress...All packed and ready to go Seano tells us that Timmers husband forgot to set the alarm and he was running late. Off we go for 40min to explore the eastern section. Some nice single and fast flowing tracks we soon piled on the k's, headed back to the cars for Timmers. Long story short, his toe nail polish had peeled off and he couldn't ride. Hmmm. Off we go again taking lots of tracks working our way to the Northern section of the Wombat. Fast flowing and a little technical section. These got us to a nice little rotunda around 12 for lunch. Refueled we picked up the pace with some more of the same. A couple of slow moving offs from Dave and Billy without too much harm, Dave's new AXO's also pierced by a branch, lucky. Made our way to a mineral spring (dame that tastes bad, rusty water) and as the temp started to rise a decision was made to start heading home via some known tracks. Its about 1.15 at this stage and 25 C. Well, what a blast the 2 hours 20 minutes were. Some very fast flowing "virgin" track and great technical stuff. Down we went, found a challenging rocky up hill and had a crack back up the technical stuff. This isnt new to Seano, Bill Toan or myself but Dave and Billy were heard to say "Im spent, im stuffed, help me lord !" Credit to them both to hang in there and lift to the next level. Headed back to the cars and arrived at 3.40pm with approx 110 on the clock. Loaded up and hit the road. We all went to Pikes Creek, stripped off and had a swim. We joined in a circle holding hands, moving slowly to the left. Timmers popped his head up in the middle of the circle and sang "Come bye ah my lord". A fitting end to a great ride with a great bunch of blokes. There IS still love in the AMTRA family.
                   THE END.
PS. Some part of this ride report didn't happen !!!

nice report lefty, too bad ya got my story all wrong!!!!
I was running through the house the night before and deiced to kick the absolute sh#$t out of a exposed brick corner. i then rolled around on the floor in excruciating pain for 10 mins and popped a couple of painkillers.

That morning i woke up one hour late and could barely walk this is when i should of stayed in bed but instead of telling seano that i said "ILL BE THERE SOON" turned out i was half an hour late,
So there i was keen as to go riding and getting ready in record time only to have left my body amour F#@%^#$&%King HELLL

So i went home because i knew my day was only going to get worse, just one of those days i guess, we all have them!
I stopped off at the doctors on my way home and turns out my little toe is broken  Embarrassed

Thanks Seano for taking the boys on a quick loop in the morning so i could still ride much appreciated.

What part would that be lefty?Huh Smiley

Thanks for leading a fantastic ride Seano, I had a ball....even the so called technical poo was great fun even though I got a puncture on the rear from that sharp jagged rocky section but just keep going it was to hot to stop and fix it.... Wink Wink

looking forward to the next ride as there is a load of unexplored tracks to sort out.
