Title: Level 2 wombat state forest Post by: Aaron on March 26, 2009, 12,12:07 PM OK race fans! My wombat ride is on again.
Ride starts at carrols lane car park 9:00am Normal level 2 stuff at a relaxed pace. If it rains it's very slipery. A few tight technical tracks. Plenty of small logs, a few bog holes. No big hills. Lunch at the pig and whistle hotel. Fuel for 110km Rec reg welcome at your own risk, as we do a couple of kms of back roads to get to lunch. Pretty dry and no big hills. Plenty of small log crossings and a few muddy spots.
I will be at the bp service station just past Calder park raceway. Leaving here at 8.30am to meet up at carrols lane at 9.00 am. Ride start 9.30 Bring money for lunch. I will also add a google earth link for the ride location. Title: Re: Level 2 wombat state forest Post by: silverh on May 08, 2009, 06,20:33 AM Hi Aaron, Haven't ridden a dirt bike in 6 months... See you at the BP. Haydn I wouldn't take this guy with you Aaron, he can't remember what a dirt bike is. Sure I do.... Its the Yellow one with a hundred not enough HP. Oh and it has Knobbly tires and no fairing. Just hope the Husky will be kind to me and not beat the crap out of me for neglecting it for so long. Title: Re: Level 2 wombat state forest Post by: Aaron on May 08, 2009, 06,52:14 AM More than welcome Haydn, but it will be a cruisie day.
You coming Tim? Title: Re: Level 2 wombat state forest Post by: silverh on May 08, 2009, 11,09:29 AM Looking for a cruisy day Aaron... may even need trainer wheels.
Title: Re: Level 2 wombat state forest Post by: Aaron on May 08, 2009, 11,36:29 AM Somehow, I doubt that.
Title: Re: Level 2 wombat state forest Post by: Tim Dykes on May 08, 2009, 02,11:30 PM Arron, I'm not a starter, might have been if H had given me a heads up, he dosen't want the pressure as soft as he is.
Any ride that has a pub in the middle is good... Title: Re: Level 2 wombat state forest Post by: Serge C on May 09, 2009, 12,21:01 AM You've turned, Timmy! Now any event that involves a pub interestd you. Perhaps we should re-introduce the old 'pub-man' ride category! Title: Re: Level 2 wombat state forest Post by: silverh on May 13, 2009, 11,06:46 AM Low key was good for me.. had the trainer wheels on and clipped a tree but not much damage just a tennis ball sized bruise on my right thigh..
Much prefer rides with the pub at the end.... |
