IT'S ON AGAIN !!!!

We are running the hugely successful Combined NSW/VIC AMTRA ride with Holbrook Motorcycle Sports Club again on September 22nd and 23rd.

The format will be much the same as last year with a few minor changes.

The format will be as follows:

•   Ride Organiser: (AMTRA) Paul Lacy 0457 542 677.
•   Ride Leader: (HMSC) Murray Jones.
•   Date: 22nd & 23rd of September
•   Location: Holbrook NSW (386km from Melbourne & 492km from Sydney)
•   Arrival time: Friday 22nd September, 5 – 10 pm.
•   Accommodation: Byer Fountain Motor Inn. Rooms are twin share. Single room will cost you an additional $45 per night. There are a number of double beds + single beds for anyone who wants to bring their partners and ankle biters. Accommodation has already been arranged so please don't contact the motel yourselves.
•   Ride Location: Woomargama National Park and surrounds, 20 minutes from Holbrook.
•   Saturday Ride Details: 160-180km of mixed trails including some single track, 2 x Support Vehicles, BBQ lunch and fuel stop.
•   Sunday Ride Details: 60-70km of mixed trails. Planning to be finished at lunch time.
•   Departure: Early Sunday afternoon.
•   BYO Fuel to be carried by a support vehicle.
•   BYO Drinks and trail snacks.
•   Meals: Saturday & Sunday breakfast will be a continental and cooked breakfast in the motel restaurant. Saturday lunch is provided on the trail and Saturday dinner will be a monster barby at the motel followed by drinks and yarns by the camp fire..
•   Cost: $170 per person which includes all accommodation, meals, support vehicles and commemorative stubby cooler.
•   Ride numbers will be capped at 50 total for the 3 clubs.
•   $75 deposit will be required at the beginning of September to lock in rider numbers and accommodation.

This ride is a financial 'members only' ride.

put me down for this ride there aint many AMTRA rides close to home and this one is only 40 minutes away. May not bother with accommodation if its cheeper.

I notice on the Holbrook MC club site you can do the saturday ride only with no accommodation. Is this possible for me as I am fairly local and don't really require accommodation.

Is full bike rego  a requirement for this  ride as rec rego I think is only valid in victoria or is there some other permit in NSW for this ride?

Welcome to the AMTRA website, hope to see you on here a bit. 

I have full rego on DRZ so I am still in please, I was asking as I can get  my hands on a ktm 350exc, a bike to test ride but it only has rec rego. I will bring the full rego bike this time.

I would love to do the Walwa ride but I think I have a family commitment, If I can break loose I will let you know. I am usually free most Sundays. cheers Glenn

I rode some of the track with the Holbrook lads Sunday while they marked the tracks for this ride, get on the list as they are a great bunch of people and tracks will have plenty of variety for everyone.

We are less than 4 weeks away from the "State of Origin" Combined AMTRA/Holbrook ride. Last year was a hoot!

I have to confirm numbers and pay a deposit for the accommodation next week so can you please add your name to the list if you are planning to attend this ride by the end of this week.

We have ended up with only six Vic riders so far. We have 19 from NSW between Holbrook riders and NSW AMTRA riders.

Its not to late to sign up. Murray from Holbrook has put in a huge amount of effort in planning a great all day ride on Saturday and half day on Sunday. The rides have a large variety of trails.

Your $170 includes 2 nights motel accommodation with 2 fully cooked breakfasts. Also a BBQ tea on Saturday night and a BBQ lunch on Saturday.

On the Saturday ride we will be back at the motel at about 5:00pm for drinks and tea. If you only want to ride on Saturday and go home straight after the ride, that's ok, and the cost will only be $100.

I'd love to see some more Victorian guys make the effort to come. I promise you will have a great time.

Pauly. Do we know what our expected fuel range is between fuel stops?

Last year we did about 140 for the day with a refuel about half way. It will be similar. So I guess if you have a range of 90, you will be fine.

Yeah, get onto it.  Come and do the road trip and have a great ride.

This was a top ride that I am going to miss as last year was a ball. The enduro loop on Sunday was a great workout and the tracks on Saturday were in top condition.

To get there is around 3 1/2 hours on cruise control on the Hume. Buddy up for the road trip and it is not a bad drive.

If you can get there - highly recommmended.

We are not doing the enduro loop of Sunday this time. We are doing another half day trail ride on defferent tracks than the Saturday.

I don't think it was about where the ride was, it was more that most of the people were soft and didn't do the 2nd day.

The best thing about last years ride was the enduro loop on the Sunday, i loved it.
The reason why i am not on this years ride is because the enduro loop on the Holbrook Motorcycle Club's property is not part of the weekend.  ???
