Thanks, Brian. Title: Re: Cobaw Level 1 Afternoon Ride Sat 22 May Post by: Mat R on April 18, 2010, 09,21:37 AM If only a couple should be no problem. So how many mates do you expect to come along?
Mat. Title: Re: Cobaw Level 1 Afternoon Ride Sat 22 May Post by: bstar360 on April 19, 2010, 01,08:05 AM 7 total

Title: Re: Cobaw Level 1 Afternoon Ride Sat 22 May Post by: Mark RMX450 on April 27, 2010, 09,32:08 AM Hi Mat,
I havent been on an organised ride before and I was thinking about going on this AMTRA ride. Is there anything I need to know prior to coming along? i.e. memberships/bike requirements? I have been riding for around 2 years so figured I would start with this ride and base my skill level of that. Any help would be great. Cheers, Mark Title: Re: Cobaw Level 1 Afternoon Ride Sat 22 May Post by: Mat R on April 27, 2010, 01,21:34 PM Non members welcome on the ride. If you enjoy the ride then think about taking out membership to AMTRA. Rec Reg minimum and a licence.
Basic tools and tubes a plus. Will be a few challenges for the Level 1 rider and some for the Level 2. Title: Re: Cobaw Level 1 Afternoon Ride Sat 22 May Post by: Darren lynch on April 28, 2010, 03,05:56 AM Hi mat

Can you put me down for this ride please. Lance Title: Re: Cobaw Level 1 Afternoon Ride Sat 22 May Post by: Mat R on May 04, 2010, 04,41:39 AM No problem Lance, Craig, Mark and Darren.
That makes 13 so far I think. Group of around 20 is a good number. Unlikely to be a morning ride this time - Dave has something else on that weekend. I should be at the BP outbound Calder Hwy at Calder Park around 11:30 for anyone who wants to follow me out there. Mat R. Title: Re: Cobaw Level 1 Afternoon Ride Sat 22 May Post by: DanJ on May 05, 2010, 11,55:24 AM Hi Mat,
Put Steve Wiseman and myself down for this ride. We're thinking of turning up a few hours earlier to just cruise around as I've not been there before, then meeting back at the car for 12:30 to ride with the group Thanks, DanJ Title: Re: Cobaw Level 1 Afternoon Ride Sat 22 May Post by: goody05 on May 09, 2010, 11,03:53 PM Hi Mat,

can add myself and one onther thanks Title: Re: Cobaw Level 1 Afternoon Ride Sat 22 May Post by: Mat R on May 13, 2010, 03,46:02 AM OK - With that 4 added the ride is FULL.
If you have done a few AMTRA rides and know you are a solid Level 2 to Clubman and want to come along then give me a call. The ride is a level 1 but there are some level 2 options I can put in. Ron - should be able to get you back to the cars at a time to suit. Will be aiming for about 4:30 to 5:00 i.e. before dark. We may be able to shoot out for another little loop after that for those that want to. Regards Mat. Title: Re: Cobaw Level 1 Afternoon Ride Sat 22 May Post by: Mark RMX450 on May 15, 2010, 08,40:14 AM hey mat, I will meet you at the BP at 11:30. I'll be in a silver SS so keep an eye out for me.
Title: Re: Cobaw Level 1 Afternoon Ride Sat 22 May Post by: Mat R on May 20, 2010, 02,12:14 AM Well it seems I have a morning free, so I am going to get to Cobaw at around 9:00, to head off riding about 9:30 and back to the car park about 12:00. Anyone who would like to join me is welcome, the ride will be more Level 2 and above for the morning. I'll stop in at the BP around 8:00 a.m.
To get to Cobaw - Travel up the Calder Hwy. About 40 km after Calder Park BP take exit for C324 turning right toward Lancefield. About 3.5 km's turn left at the sign for Hanging Rock, the continue straight on through Newham. At 3.5 km's past Newham you will reach a cross road, caution it is just over a crest and down hill to the cross road so take it easy there. Cross over, continuing straight ahead on Egans Lane. At the end of Egans Lane turn right along Forest Rd and follow this to Cobaw Forest (about 2.5 km). At the entrance to Cobaw Forest go along Ridge Rd (uphill) and about 1.5 km along you will reach a large carpark on the left - opposite Devanney Track. For those still meeting at the BP at 11:30 - introduce yourselves and travel up together. Seeya there. Mat. Title: Re: Cobaw Level 1 Afternoon Ride Sat 22 May Post by: DanJ on May 20, 2010, 05,16:52 AM Hi Matt,
Steve Wiseman and I won't be able to come along so you can take us off the list, shame as would have been my first Cobaw ride. Hopefully next time. Title: Re: Cobaw Level 1 Afternoon Ride Sat 22 May Post by: Mark RMX450 on May 21, 2010, 02,45:54 AM Is anyone still planning on meeting at BP at 11.30? If not I will just go straight to the meeting point.
