Title: Cobaw L2+
Post by: Mat R on April 24, 2013, 03,29:27 AM
Saturday May 18.

Been a while since I have been to Cobaw, so a bit of exploring of the old tracks and see if the ruts have been filled in.

Meet at 8:30 a.m. at Ridge Rd carpark, intersection with Devanney Trk. Also known as the south car park.

Ride will set off around 9:00 a.m. and loop back to the cars for refuel and lunch.

Not one for beginners, tracks are rocky or sandy or both and can be boggy in places if wet. No really long hills but some are a bit tricky.

To get there, go up the Calder and take the hanging rock exit, go past Hanging Rock through Newham, cross the intersection and then turn right at the following T intersection onto Forest Rd, follow this to the carpark on the left (about 6 km). Don't understand this? JFGI.

Rec Reg ok.

"some are a bit tricky"........... I seem to recall you had to ride 5 bikes up one particular hill young man :-)

Same sort of loop?

I think I'm in  ;)
