Cobaw Afternoon Ride

Date: Saturday 26 July, afternoon.
Level: 1/2 Beginners ride.

Rec Reg suitable.

Cobaw State Forest is north west of Melbourne between Lancefield and Kyneton. It provides a range of terrain to suit beginners to intermediate riders. The terrain offers good riding though can be rocky in places.

Meeting time is 11:45 a.m for a 12:00 midday departure from the Calder Outbound BP station, on the Calder Hwy just past Calder Park Raceway heading out of Melbourne. From there we will continue on to Cobaw State Forest, which takes around another 1/2 an hour to get to, then unload the bikes and get riding.

The ride will stick to forest roads and 4WD tracks. If numbers permit we will split into 2 groups for those that want more challenge towards the end of the day.

Lots of help, advice and assistance will be given to make sure all enjoy the ride. Ride distance is somewhere between 40 and 60 km depending on the group.

Hi I live locally and have just joined, I have comittments that arvo but would like to offer any assistance if needed. I have a good knowledge of all the tracks and new ones as well. Have a great day.

Hey Steve,

would be good to have you along. Hope to make this a last Saturday of the month regular ride. Give or take a week or two. New tracks or nice loops always welcomed.

Just a shameless bump. So far have 8 people intending to ride. Most from DBW so would be good to have a few AMTRA folk along, or those interesting in joining.
