Just spoke to Rob and the ride is still on. He is not on the web much so best to call to let him know you are going.

With the wet conditions etc Rob would like to get a sat phone and/or epirb. So if someone going on the ride is near Will (fatboy) and can pick up a phone and/or epirb please do so.

Will - check what ride they want it for so only 1 phone needs to go out. OK if more than one epirb.

Hey, I'm going to start of the ride report so people can add the extras when they can.
I was up at 5am to get the bike on and then headed off at 5.50. Yazza said not to be late !!! Weather was looking great till I got to Warby, started to rain and get a bit colder. Headed off from the Bakery at 7.40am and when we arrived at the Big River camping area at 8.30. On the bikes at 9, Rob gave a great briefing and welcomed everyone, away we go. Straight in to it and the pace is good. Weather was holding up and we hit a small track for a few k's but had to turn around around due to an impassable tree down. Trying to make up time we headed to Woods Point. Regrouping was good and we hit the first river x'ing. WR450 in the drink and rider fully under Huh WTF. Next 3 riders walked across (including me) and we dewatered !!! Not too bad and we r off !!!Got into the hills and the temp dropped considerably with wind chill maybe -2 !!! I've just been to Mt Hotham for a week and this was just as cold. Great tracks and dropped into Woods Point in time for lunch but were greeted by 20 other riders who had just ordered lunch and fuel. Yeah we had to wait but it gave us time to chat with the others and dry out a little. 60 minutes later we were refueled, fed and on the way. Don't know about the others but it was freezing heading out over the range !!! I kept myself busy by singing the Justin Beiber song that Nathan Stott keeps singing, so the time just flew. After dropping down from the hills it did actually warm up a little, so the hands dried out and it wasn't too bad. A couple of off's on the way back, a steep small down hill with a river crossing added to the excitement !! A few small tracks and we got back at 5ish to light rain and darkness descending. Loaded up the bikes and with 130 odd ks on the clock, we had a great day out. Great bunch of blokes and all well prepared and ready to go.
Yeah, I don't remember all the names or the tracks or the directions !!! But I do remember the great day and the smiles on all our faces when we got back to the cars !!! Yes, we were Crazy Yazza but see you next ride Rob, well done champ !!!
PS. Lynton was a standout for an old bloke !!! Ha ha...
